How do I configure ports and servers on my network to allow devices to communicate with SignStix servers?

Some networks use security settings that block devices from connecting locally or communicating with external servers. In these cases, the network administrator will need to adjust these restrictions. The following details on how SignStix hardware communicates with the server should help you identify and modify the necessary network rules.

Domain addresses of Signstix servers:

  • signstix.com
  • cms.signstix.com
  • uk.signstix.com

Ports and Protocols
The following ports are required to be open outbound for complete communication with the CMS server:

Signstix uses 3 ports:

  • HTTP (80) (redirects to HTTPS port 90)
  • HTTPS (443)
  • Websocket server on port 9000
