How to
Register a Device
00:00: This tutorial guides you through registering a new device in SignStix Director.
00:03: You will learn how to navigate the interface and complete the device registration

00:13: Click "DEVICES" to open the devices management section in SignStix Director.
00:18: Click "List" to open the Devices page.
00:23: Click the Register Device icon to register your new device.
00:27: Take the device ID displayed on the registration screen.
00:31: Input that unique Device ID.
00:33: Click "Name this Device" to enter a recognizable name that will display in your device

How to Upload
and Convert Videos
00:00: This tutorial guides you through converting and uploading videos using SignStix Director.

00:10: Click "HOME" to navigate to the main dashboard of SignStix Director.
00:15: Click "CONTENT" to access the content management area where videos and assets are

00:20: Click here to begin selecting files for upload within the content section.
00:25: Click "Choose Files" to open the file selection dialog and locate your video files.
00:30: Enter the path to your video file to select "Testing_video_test_90_degrees.mp4" for processing.

How to
Use SignStix Wizard
00:13: In the left-hand menu click on Wizard and you will go straight into a sequence.
00:18: This sequence allows you to put a mixture of still images and videos.
00:22: They are handled in the same way using the science tick signage wizard.
00:26: First of all, give your sequence a name and decide what resolution of screen you want
00:30: to put the content on.
00:32: There are drop down options for landscape,
00:35: portrait,
00:36: fourkay and custom.
00:43: Then click either,
00:44: asset selection or nexxt, to go to the next stage.
00:48: Here we have lots of assets that we've previously uploaded.
00:52: You can click to filter the assets by asset type
01:06: Click the Add asset button to include new media files in your sequence.
01:11: Next we go to a review stage.
01:14: You'll notice that there is an exclamation mark next to the first png.
01:19: That's because it's a different resolution to the screen size that I selected at the
01:22: beginning.
01:24: You might want to remove that from your sequence so that you don't get any
01:27: distortion.
01:29: Next choose the screen where we want to put our content.
01:32: You can highlight several screens or even locations with multiple screens within
01:37: them.
01:38: Let's put it on Monty's Burger Bar and Poppies Doughnut Parlor.
01:42: Then submit.
01:44: We can either assign to the devices telling them they should have that content but
01:48: press deploy later or we can assign and deploy right now.
01:51: pushing that content straight away to screens
01:55: and that's it done.
01:57: The message is in the top right-hand corner confirm that your deployment has been
02:00: successful.
02:07: If you want additional information with regard to that deployment,
02:10: you can go into the devices in the devices list.
02:14: Choose the orange writing next door to Monty's Burgerr Bar.
02:18: It has a red rocket icon which tells us the content is outdated,
02:22: so we know the content has not appeared on the screen.
02:35: The rocket flashes green when it is downloading.
02:38: When it's a solid green rocket, you know that your content is on the screen.
02:43: You can get additional verification by requesting a screenshot,
02:47: click on the camera icon in the top menu, you will then see it appear on the right
02:50: hand side with a date stamp.

How to
Use Templates
00:00: This tutorial guides you through using SignStix Templates.
00:05: Click "TEMPLATES" to open the template catalogue.
00:09: We have a selection of commonly used Templates available, with more being added on a
00:13: regular basis.
00:15: Now,
00:15: select a template you would like to create a Sign from.
00:19: Once selected, give your new sign a name.
00:24: Next, click "OK" to confirm and save.
00:29: You can add additional information now, or after editing your template.
00:33: Here, we are adding a tag.
00:36: Click "Add" to apply the entered tag to your sign template.
00:40: Click the paintbrush icon in the top menu to open and edit your chosen Template.
00:45: This will open a new window for you to do so.
00:49: Next, click the cog to open the settings menu.
00:53: The settings menu will then appear on the right hand side of your Template.
00:58: Within this, you can see that you have various options to customise your chosen
01:02: template.
01:04: There are three catagories within the settings menu.
01:07: Set-Up, Style and Layout
01:11: In Style, you can edit things such as fonts.
01:15: This has a drop down menu with options to choose from.
01:18: Let's select a different font.
01:22: Click the drop down menu, and select "Poppins".
01:25: You will be able to see changes instantly.
01:29: Next, in Set-Up, we can change the layout of the template by clicking the dropdown menu
01:33: of Theme.
01:35: Here we have chosen compact.
01:38: To confirm the changes we have made, Click "OK".
01:42: Once we are happy with our changes, Click "Publish" in the top right corner.
01:47: Now your customized template sign is available for use.
01:52: You have successfully created, customized, and published a new sign using Templates.
01:58: You can now manage your signs and update your screens content as needed, to keep
02:02: your displays current.

How to
use Validity in SignStix
00:00: Validity is a really useful feature in Sign-Stix.
00:03: You can use it to set a start and end time and date, on a piece of content.
00:08: This feature would be useful in scenarios such as displaying time sensitive
00:12: promotions.
00:14: In this tutorial, you will learn how to enable the validity period on a video or
00:19: image file.
00:20: In content, select the file name or edit icon, on the asset you want to add validity
00:25: to.
00:27: Then, tick the "Enable" box to activate the validity period.
00:32: Now you can select a start date and time.
00:36: Followed by the end date, and time.
00:39: Finally, Click the "Update Asset" button to save the validity period.
00:44: You have now successfully added a validity period to your file.
00:48: Now when the end date and time is reached,
00:51: the file will not play, even if you still have it in a playlist.
00:55: Please note, Sign-Stix player Version 3.4.0 or higher is needed for Validity.
